Luminaries

A creative survivalist scouts program where children ages 5-10 earn badges through real-world making, outdoor skills, problem solving, and hands-on creative projects.

Luminaries is a 16-week creative survivalist scouts program for children ages 5-10, now enrolling in Raleigh. Scouts work side by side in small pods, building friendships through shared making and earning eight badges as they grow in skill and character. The curriculum moves through four arcs: Strong Foundations (drawing, surface and pattern, building in space, story over time), Useful & Beautiful (block printing, fiber and weaving, clay and form), Value & Voice (reading nature, natural dyes, knots and carriers, a real field challenge), and Collective Build (the Wunder Mix enterprise, the Luminaries Market, and a closing Exhibition Night). Two age groups - Little Luminaries (5-7) and Rising Luminaries (8-10) - each progress through three journeys: Foundations, Applied Making, and Lead & Mentor. Every journey runs Fall and Spring with the same outcomes but fresh projects, themes, materials, and field missions. Each two-hour session follows a studio ritual: check-in, story and concept, demonstration, fifty minutes of making, cleanup and studio stewardship, then Field Guide reflection. Scouts take home a tool pouch, their first project, a Field Guide, and badge progress.

RASCAL: Come for the Chaos. Stay for the Art.

A citywide art scavenger hunt that turns Baltimore into the game board — timed photo clues, surprise locations, and original artwork hidden across the city.

RASCAL is a multi-location art scavenger hunt that transforms Baltimore into a playground for creativity, exploration, and discovery. Players follow timed photo clues, race between surprise locations, and search for original artwork hidden throughout the city. Each stop brings a new clue, a new setting, and another chance to win. The game begins with a coffee kickoff and check-in at Tribe Social Cafe, followed by a quick rules briefing. Once the first clue drops, players make their way through the route using their own transportation. Speed matters, but running is not required — observation, strategy, and teamwork count just as much. WHAT TO EXPECT • A three-hour, multi-location scavenger hunt • Timed photo clues delivered digitally • Stops at Baltimore businesses, landmarks, and cultural spaces • Original artwork and prizes hidden along the route • A fast-paced, playful way to experience the city DATE AND TIME Saturday, October 3, 2026 — 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM Tribe Social Cafe, 233 East Redwood Street, Baltimore, MD 21202 TICKETS Early Bird $30 through September 26; General Admission $35 beginning September 27.
